Clarian Health was interested in becoming one of the top facilities for medical training of doctors and nurses. The Fairbanks Hall facility was designed to house the Education space for doctors and nurses from the IU School of Medicine, the IU School of Nursing and Clarian Health’s staff. The Education Simulation Center consists of an ER suite, an OR suite, an Intensive Care Unit, a five-(5)-room inpatient wing and a ten-(10)-exam room outpatient center to simulate actual medical settings. The Center Director’s curriculum and administration offices and several classrooms, consult spaces and debrief rooms are also housed in the Simulation Center. Also, as part of the six-story structure, the Clarian administrative offices, the IU School of Medicine executive offices and several classrooms make up the balance of the spaces.
