Republic Development Corporation
Saxony is a mixed-use development consisting of approximately 800 acres northeast of Indianapolis in the Town of Fishers and the City of Noblesville, Indiana. The development was designed according to a “New Urbanism” concept and will incorporate residential, commercial, retail, entertainment and industrial components.
Responsibilities for the development in Fishers included land, boundary and topographic surveying, platting, construction staking, master planning, cost estimating, utility design and roadway and drainage design. Site specific civil construction documents were provided for the Community Health Pavilion, the Wesleyan Church World Headquarters, St. Vincent’s Northeast Medical Complex and single-family subdivisions within this area of Saxony.
In Noblesville, Cripe’s professionals conducted land surveying and developed the master grading and a water main design plan. Cripe provided architecture, site civil engineering design and survey services for a Mike’s Express Carwash which was included in this area of Saxony.
The overall project had to adhere to Saxony development standards and had inherent challenges in the routing of utilities, earthwork balancing, storm water routing and roadway layout due to the characteristics of “New Urbanism” development.
