This design-build project involved the renovation of IPS 55 to more efficiently utilize the space already available in order to accommodate a growing student population. Cripe’s professionals made several improvements to the school floor plan including moving the media center, which was also refurnished, to a zone in the middle of the building to allow for student accessibility after school hours, reconfiguring the main office, adding kindergarten rooms with accessible restrooms and enlarging the cafeteria. A bus drop-off area was added as well as more accessible visitor parking. The school received all new finishes and new windows.
