Since its inception in 2007, the Cripe 4th Year CAPSTONE Design Competition has continued to provide an opportunity for students to challenge themselves in the focus on creative integration of building technology and program while competing at local, national and possible international levels.
Annually Cripe awards $4,000 to the winning individual and or teams in the 4th year architecture undergraduate graduating class. As part of this competition, the students visit Cripe to receive critiques on their projects from our architects.
The competition this year was focused on housing for the homeless in Muncie, IN. The students were to design a small housing community of net-zero tiny houses that will be sustainable solar houses for the homeless.
