Hamilton County Humane Society

Date: December 17, 2012

This project was through a public/private partnership. Hamilton County had traditionally partnered with the Hamilton County Humane Society to operate its animal control facility. Notable growth in the area required a larger facility, as the former location had no opportunity for expansion. Hamilton County agreed to construct a replacement facility, for the Humane Society to operate. A low-cost spay/neuter clinic was also included. The three partners have forged a cooperative model for effective animal population management and humane treatment.
