Major Taylor Skatepark

Date: January 3, 2013

The popularity of skateboarding, in-line skating and free-style BMX biking had continued to increase dramatically among young people and because of the sometimes destructive nature and safety issues related to such activities, they were often banned in public areas. To address the issue of skaters who were using and damaging government property to practice skating, Indy Parks wanted to design a skate park that would address the needs of the user groups while also being embraced by the general public.
