Hamilton County Juvenile Justice Center
Civil Engineering, Land Surveying
This project involved the implementation of the first phase of the master plan for the Hamilton County Jail that Cripe developed for the client. The implementation of the first phase included the Juvenile Justice expansion, creation of a new entrance drive, a new service drive and modifications to the existing parking lots. Upgrades were made to the main water supply system, including fire protection systems. Highlights of the project included managing drainage by eliminating the original detention basin, establishing a new drainage system and accounting for impact of drainage relative to the overall master plan, as well as working to improve safety and site circulation on a rehabilitative and correctional program-based facility.

The project had to be completed quickly because the capacity at the current juvenile facility had already been exceeded. The expansion also had to fit within existing connectional buildings and roads within the complex.
