An international healthcare leader in diagnostics embarked on a multiyear project to redevelop its US Headquarters campus to transform it from a traditional suburban development to a campus environment aligned with the company’s international vision and facilities. This project replaced surface parking lots, realigned internal site roadways, and relocated utilities to facilitate the development of a 1,493 space, 4-story secure parking structure serving both employees and visitors to the campus. The project was the cornerstone in redeveloping the campus to provide space for facility consolidation, future growth/expansion and a “greener” campus to enhance the employee experience by providing additional outdoor amenity spaces and pedestrian friendly environment. The redevelopment of a portion of an existing, high functioning, 24-hour operating facility required sensitive and coordinated design and construction efforts. The design included utility relocation of public as well as private utility systems while developing underground storm water storage and treatment systems.
