Cripe was retained by Granite REIT to design a new 510,000 s.f. warehouse shell building in Plainfield, Indiana. There are two main entries at the northwest and southwest corners with loading docks and truck aprons along both the long elevations of the building. The client wanted a flexible solution that could be easily modified to suit the needs of a future tenant. Features includes large bay sizes, minimum 36 foot interior clearance, excellent floor flatness levels and knock out panels in the exterior precast to allow flexible placement of future dock doors.
The Owner worked with the design team to obtain a “Two Globe” Green Globes certification for site development, water efficiency, materials and energy efficiency. A tenant has leased the building and is currently preparing to begin their interior build-out. Services provided included architecture, site civil and survey.
