Cripe provided civil engineering and survey services for the for the renovations and additions to the Middle School, Intermediate School, and High School for Westfield Washington Schools in Westfield, Indiana.
The overall project provided for the modernization and expansion of the existing school facilities to be responsive to the changing academic demands in a digital world. The renovations included rework of interior spaces to react to new programming, secured access, and plans for future growth. The Middle School included 73,800 square feet of renovation with a 34,325 square foot building addition. The Intermediate School included 23,370 square feet of renovation with a 38,170 square foot addition. The High School included 129,780 square feet of renovation with a 91,540 square foot building addition.
The site design included access lanes, truck docks, trailer parking, car parking, pedestrian access, and greenspace. Due to the park expansion, the project included additional infrastructure for the two buildings including the Southtech Drive extension, sanitary sewer main extension and the water main extension. Design also included sanitary lateral connections, domestic water lines, fire service protection lines, storm sewer network, and stormwater management. Stormwater management design includes the revision of the overall drainage master plan to include the new wet detention pond, a series of catch basin inserts and hydrodynamic separators in coordination with the City of Greenwood.
