Butler University Bill and Joanne Dugan Hall
Civil Engineering, Land Surveying
The project included the surveying and civil engineering design of the new Bill and Joanne Dugan Hall on the campus of Butler University. The new four-story building is the cornerstone of the recent campus transformation at Butler University. The project also includes student gathering spaces and new sidewalks to improved pedestrian and bicycle connectivity around the building and to connect the building with the evolving campus community.
A particular challenge associated with the development of this project included coordination of design with respect to the active neighborhood association, preservation of heritage and campus-sensitive trees including an historical 1936 Olympic Oak, and utility infrastructure logistics associated with campus upgrades and routing utilities under the building connector between Lacy School of Business and the existing Irwin Library.
