Coxhall Children’s Pavilion
Architecture
Hamilton County Parks, in collaboration with Cripe, is delighted to introduce the Clay Township Children’s Pavilion at Coxhall Gardens. This new addition to the Children’s Garden—a hidden gem on the west side of Carmel—features twin shelters connected by a pergola-covered walkway and a fireplace-styled outdoor grill. Designed to provide a magical, analog park experience, the pavilion creates a welcoming space for child-friendly activities and supports various educational programs, fostering a deeper connection between children and nature. Located adjacent to the proposed Coxhall Conservatory, the pavilion is part of a larger vision to enhance Coxhall Gardens as a hub for community engagement and environmental education. The Conservatory will offer a climate-controlled environment for exotic plants, while the Children’s Pavilion provides versatile outdoor spaces for events and gatherings. Together, these facilities reflect a blend of classical architecture with modern design elements, continuing a planning process initiated by Hamilton County Parks over 20 years ago. Cripe is proud to support this vision, reinforcing the community’s commitment to sustainability and enriching the recreational landscape of Carmel.
