Cripe was selected to provide land surveying and civil engineering design services for the conversion of the natural grass soccer field inside the existing track at the Indiana University Michael A. Carroll Track & Soccer Stadium at IUPUI. The design included the implementation of a soccer field made of Revolution FieldTurf by Tarkett Sports to be certifiable as a FIFA Two Star Field and meet NCAA standards. The existing field was removed, the existing infiltration system was utilized and repaired and the track was modified by removing one of the long jump events. The field construction required protection of the Mondo track surface during construction to preserve the track for immediate use after the conversion.
