The River Centre Development is the re-development of the previously existing Jasper Cabinet Company in Jasper, Indiana, and surrounding grounds creating a new hub for activity for Jasper along the Patoka River. The existing three-story building, totaling +104,000 square feet, was redeveloped into 33,000 square feet of restaurants, retail, and office space along the first floor, 68 rehabbed luxury apartment units, and an outdoor roof terrace. The entire development opens into a redeveloped green space overlooking the Patoka River and Jasper Riverwalk, while at the same time, fronts a newly developed pedestrian space overlooking the existing railway park. In addition to the building modifications, a parking lot, interior pedestrian connectivity, and associated utilities were provided to serve the function of the building and connectivity to the surrounding area. The grading of the site was an integral part of the design to preserve floodplains in collaboration with local and state jurisdictions.
