The Arbuckle
Architecture, Civil Engineering, Land Survey
Cripe was retained for Phases I and II of The Arbuckle apartments. Phase I was constructed in 2018 and offers 310 units ranging in size from studios to two-bedroom townhomes, residential amenity spaces, commercial tenant space, and individual garage units. Phase I was completed in 2018. Cripe’s Civil Engineering services include site design including off-street and on-street parking, pedestrian corridors along public rights-of-way and internal to the site, vehicular circulation for tenants and guests, deliveries, emergency services, and maintenance as well as provision for softscape and coordination of landscaping to enhance the overall experience while balancing jurisdictional requirements, maintenance, and cost. The design also includes sanitary lateral connections, domestic water lines, fire service protection lines, storm sewer networks, and stormwater management.
Phase II, located on the northwest corner of Green St. and Arbuckle Commons, features an outdoor grilling area, dog park, and 24-hour fitness center for residents, along with individual office and conference room space. It provides 100 additional apartment units to Brownsburg residents. Cripe worked hand in hand with the design team, owner, and the local utilities to reroute existing utilities around the site while thoughtfully bringing the new services to meet the demands of the proposed development.
