1840 North Meridian
Architecture
Innovcare retained Cripe to rehabilitate a vacant office building on North Meridian Street in Indianapolis. The project scope included demolition of the original building envelope, bringing the existing building up to current life safety requirements, forensics to restore the deteriorating building structure and the design of a new exterior skin.
The site is within the City of Indianapolis Regional Center, which demands rigorous city dialogue, review, and oversight of the design work. The new architecture creates a modern, elegant, and energy-efficient envelope consistent with the quality of development along Meridian Street. Cripe also collaborated with another local design firm that was responsible for tenant improvements at the building’s interior. The developer anticipates a future healthcare tenant who will be proximate to the new Indiana Health Central Hospital nearby.
