Greenfield Central High School
Architecture, Civil Engineering, Land Surveying
To accommodate a growing student population, the high school needed an additional thirty classrooms, science labs, new pool and central locker rooms and an increased core capacity. Cripe’s team of educational experts worked closely with very diverse public interest groups to reach a consensus that met the needs of the students and school staff as well as the tax payers and community. Working around an occupied school, Cripe’s professionals designed a two-story addition to the existing high school building; at the same time avoiding the relocation of a lift station and other expensive underground utilities. Of special concern were site circulation considerations and preservation of large trees on the school’s campus.
