IBCF Adaptive Kitchen IPS 94

Architecture

Cripe partnered with the Indiana Blind Children’s Foundation (IBCF) and the Indiana School for the Blind and Visually Impaired (ISBVI) to design Indiana’s first adaptive kitchen for youth who are blind or have low vision. Reitano Design Group led the initial design, while Cripe provided architectural expertise to refine and implement the vision. Kort Construction managed the build, ensuring the space met the highest accessibility standards. The kitchen features wheelchair-accessible stations, tactile and braille-enhanced controls, and adaptable components that will transition to ISBVI’s future campus.
