Four floors of Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health have been renovated to house a labor and delivery unit, a 45-bed Level 3 neonatal intensive care and a postpartum unit. The Riley Outpatient Center has also been updated to house an outpatient maternal-fetal medicine clinic and will include a comprehensive fetal center to diagnose and treat fetal patients with congenital anomalies. This tower consists of Triage, antepartum rooms, L&D rooms, C-birth, ORs, Fetal Surgery OR, SPD, NICU, and post-partum rooms. The Cripe Equipment Planning Team was part of the design team as the Medical Equipment Planner and provided MEQ support for the following areas: Operating Rooms, Pediatric Unit, Women’s Services, and Sterile Processing.
